Fort Larned USD #495 is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Assistant Principal to join Fort Larned Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 10-month administrative position with an anticipated start date of August 1 2026.
The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with the principal staff students and families to support a positive school culture and ensure high levels of learning for all students. This individual will play a key role in daily school operations student support instructional leadership and building strong relationships within the school community.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the principal in the overall leadership and management of the school
- Promoting a safe positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with student discipline and behavior support systems
- Supporting instructional practices and teacher development
- Communicating effectively with staff families and community stakeholders
- Helping coordinate school programs activities and operations
Qualifications:
- Valid Kansas administrative licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in elementary education preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and school improvement
