Position Summary
The Student Affairs Office Secretary serves as the first point of contact for students parents staff and visitors. This role is responsible for maintaining an organized and welcoming front office environment while providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students parents visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct phone calls take messages and respond to general inquiries
- Manage front office traffic including signing visitors in and out according to school safety procedures
- Maintain student attendance records and process tardy/early dismissal documentation
- Assist administrators and teachers with scheduling parent meetings
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Support communication between school staff parents and the community
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative or office experience preferred especially in an educational setting
- Proficiency in office software ( Workspace)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Knowledge of student information systems (preferred)
Work Environment
- Fast-paced school setting with frequent interaction with students and staff
- Requires sitting standing and occasional lifting of office materials
- Must be able to handle interruptions while maintaining productivity
