About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking a Building Condition Scoping Officer to play a key role in the care and sustainability of Council-owned venues and facilities. This hands-on technical role focuses on inspecting buildings assessing condition identifying risks and scoping maintenance works that keep our assets safe compliant and fit for community use. Working closely with internal teams and contractors youll help shape preventative and scheduled maintenance programs that support long-term asset performance. This is an opportunity to make a practical visible contribution to the places our community relies on every day.

About You

You are a practical detail-focused professional who takes pride in well-maintained buildings and strong technical advice. You bring:

A trade qualification (Carpentry) or relevant technical qualification in building construction engineering facilities or equivalent experience
Experience conducting building inspections condition assessments or facility audits across varied asset types
Strong knowledge of building construction materials defects and lifecycle considerations
The ability to scope maintenance works estimate costs and prioritise actions within planned programs
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with stakeholders and contractors
A current Queensland C-Class Driver Licence is required.
Experience in local government large asset portfolios or maintenance planning advantageous
