Job Summary
Join our Downer Professional Servicesteam and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australias future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Officer based in ACT to support the Defence SHFC program for Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFC) program.
What Youll Do
These roles offer a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:
- Support and manage Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) aspects of JP9101PH1 acquisition activities including coordination with Prime Contractors
- Lead and participate in ILS working groups and mandated system and acquisition reviews
Review assess and provide recommendations on ILS acquisition documentation including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs) and associated artefacts - Provide specialist logistical and technical advice to support acquisition planning risk management and decision-making
- Liaise with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to ensure alignment with program objectives and Defence policy requirements
What Youll Bring
- Minimum 5 years experience delivering ILS outcomes preferably across Defence acquisition and sustainment environments
- Demonstrated experience working with the ASDEFCON suite and Defence procurement frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to operate effectively across Defence and industry environments
- Ability to interpret complex technical and contractual documentation and provide clear actionable advice
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple acquisition deliverables and reporting requirements
Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum NV1 or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
