COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our Client a Karachi based company seeks to appoint an experienced and seasoned professional for the following role:
Plan schedule and oversee product-specific imports from international suppliers in alignment with the corporate sourcing strategy ensuring timely product movement and optimal inventory levels at source locations and terminals
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute detailed annual quarterly and monthly product wise import plans of deficit petroleum products
- Develop cargo schedules and make related arrangements with suppliers port authorities OCAC and others for swift implementation
- Develop and implement coordination mechanism with supply operations for efficient berthing/unloading of cargoes
- Ensure thorough reporting and monitoring mechanisms in place for timely opening of L/Cs subsequent amendments & payment to suppliers as per contracts.
- Preparation/revision of Contracts / Agreements for sourcing of products from import in line with corporate sourcing strategy and for smooth product availability
- Report product wise rundowns and monitor product supply / demand situation to ensure optimum stock level
- Ensure mechanism is in place for coordination with shipping companies for timely nomination and provision of vessels for FOB imports and ensuring timely communication of information between Shipping Companies and suppliers
- Ensure timely appointment of surveying companies / laboratories for cargoes sampling / testing at load / delivery ports and maintaining close coordination with surveyors Companys QA / OPS departments suppliers for timely execution of testing activities
- Undertake any other task or function as maybe desired by the management
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education preferably masters from a renowned HEC recognized university or institution / equivalent foreign degree holder preferably in the discipline of Supply Chain or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of professional experience preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 2 - 6 years of related functional experience in a similar role at a senior equivalent position or one position below.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong thinking/problem-solving skills which can be applied to business processes with a can-do attitude
- Relevant operational experience in Supply Planning Foreign Trade & Customs Contracts development Tendering and bids evaluation Contracts Management Negotiations Finance cost management are advantageous
Age
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 40 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
