About the job:
Based in Wesel you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATOs Digital Endeavour. You will join the NATO Infrastructure Services Centre (NISC) which is accountable for planning and executing the full lifecycle management activities (design transition and operations) for the identified area of responsibility. NISC provides generic domain independent technical functionality that enables and facilitates the operation and use of Information Technology resources.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Enterprise Solution Engineer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
Lead the design development and integration of end-to-end technical solutions across infrastructure platforms networks and applications
Translate complex business and capability requirements into robust secure and scalable architectures aligned with NATO standards
Drive systems development activities ensuring delivery against agreed architectures timelines and quality standards
Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle of solutions including design costing implementation testing and documentation
Act as a key interface with stakeholders suppliers and customers evaluating technical solutions and ensuring optimal performance and compliance
Contribute to DevOps environments by supporting automation continuous integration deployment and monitoring practices
Support and guide junior engineers while acting as a senior technical reference for incident problem and service management
Participate in NATO exercises and operations providing engineering expertise both remotely and on-site

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
A minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post -related experience. Or exceptionally the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidates particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency that is at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function.
Enterprise infrastructure and platform services (IaaS/PaaS)
Identity and Access Management across federated environments
Systems engineering integration and DevOps practices
IT service management (ITIL) and enterprise service delivery
Fluency in English both written and spoken
Certifications:
Microsoft VMware or Cisco certifications (e.g. MCSA/MCSE VCP CCNA)
