Job Summary

Description

The Registered Nurse will assess plan perform document and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed assistive personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the practitioner orders; to assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate communicate interpret and explain patient care services to the patient their family health professionals and others; to perform related duties as assigned

Work Schedule: Casual

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
  • Licensed as a RN by Minnesota Board of Nursing or has a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Boarder State Registry.
  • Registered nurses re-entering the nursing field who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four (4) years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course to qualify for employment. Written information of certification validating successful completion of a refresher course must be provided before employment.
  • Current BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • Current NRP within 6 months of start
  • Current STABLE within 6 months of start
  • Minimum 1-year recent RNspecial care nursery OR L/D experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate or Masters degree in Nursing
  • Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in Baccalaureate in Nursing program
  • Specialty Certification in the RNs area of expertise (e.g. CCRN PCCN CNOR CPAN CAPA etc)
