Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Conflicts Research Analyst to support conflict-of-interest checks and compliance processes. This role is critical in ensuring the organization adheres to legal and ethical standards by identifying potential conflicts related to clients matters and business relationships. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills research experience and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct conflict-of-interest searches for new clients matters and lateral hires
Analyze and interpret search results to identify potential legal or business conflicts
Review client corporate and related party information using internal databases and external research tools
Prepare detailed conflict reports and summaries for attorneys compliance teams and leadership
Work closely with legal compliance and risk management teams to resolve conflicts
Maintain and update conflict database systems with accurate and timely information
Ensure compliance with firm policies legal regulations and ethical standards
Assist in clearing conflicts and obtaining necessary waivers or approvals
Handle sensitive and confidential information with a high level of discretion
Support continuous improvement of conflict-checking processes and workflows
Qualifications
1 3 years of experience in conflicts research compliance legal support or related field
Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
