Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Deputy Manager – Cost Accounting to oversee product
costing cost analysis and financial control processes. The role involves monitoring cost structures
identifying inefficiencies and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate cost data and
reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed product cost sheets and perform Bill of Materials (BOM) costing.
• Analyze standard costs versus actual costs and investigate variances with actionable insights.
• Monitor and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials work-in-progress (WIP) and finished
goods inventory.
• Ensure proper absorption of factory overheads and track overall production costs.
• Identify cost inefficiencies and recommend effective cost optimization and reduction measures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities including variance analysis and monitoring.
• Prepare cost-related MIS reports profitability analysis and departmental cost reports for
management review.
• Ensure compliance with cost audit requirements and provide necessary support during internal
and external audits.
Requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles inventory valuation and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems such as Tally.
• Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable business insights.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CMA / CMA Inter (preferred) along with or equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.
