This role supports attorneys in identifying potential conflicts of interest and navigating ethical obligations related to new matters and lateral hires. Key Responsibilities Define search strategies and conduct conflict checks using the firms electronic system (Intapp or similar) Analyze and summarize search results for attorneys and Conflicts Counsel Perform corporate research to identify relationships and affiliations Draft engagement letters conflict waivers and ethical screen memorandums Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel General Counsel and attorneys Assist with cleanup and reconciliation of conflicts database records Provide high-level support to attorneys and legal assistants Support requests outside of regular business hours as needed What You Bring 12 years of conflicts experience in a law firm environment Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and law firm experience Familiarity with legal ethics and professional responsibility rules Experience conducting conflict checks or corporate research Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must-Haves (Required to Submit) At least 1 year of conflicts experience at a mid- to large-sized law firm Bachelors degree or clear equivalent work history Familiarity with legal ethics and professional responsibility rules Experience conducting conflict checks or legal intake reviews Salary requirement provided (not open or negotiable) Authorized to work in the United States No sponsorship required now or in the future Ability to work onsite or hybrid in Denver CO Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Experience with Intapp or similar conflicts software Drafting engagement letters conflict waivers or ethical screen memorandums Large-scale data cleanup or client/matter database management experience Strong legal writing or analytical reporting skills
