JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide secretarial clerical and bookkeeping services. To relieve the coordinator of assigned
routine office tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. General knowledge of business machines and computers.
Training and/or experience in bookkeeping principles/practices including maintenance of records and preparation of
financial reports. Ability to work with a variety of people. Maintain strict confidentiality of work information and maintain
accurate files.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform bookkeeping payroll clerical and receptionist duties as required maintaining District confidence.
Prepare weekly payroll documents including appropriate deductions.
Process State compensatory claims and retirement applications.
Prepare leave requests.
Set up all hiring and processing of Child Nutrition employees.
Prepare data for personnel openings and placements.
Maintain an accurate record of all revenue and expenditures of all bank accounts such as cafeteria revolving and
administrative caring funds etc.
In the absence of the Child Nutrition Specialist
In the absence of the Specialist maintain records and reasons for substitute absences; individual substitute work and
frequency; substitute called but not available; and other records as requested by the Coordinator.
Process United States and internal school mail daily.
Serve as a public liaison in answering telephones taking messages returning telephone calls and receiving visitors.
Answer routine questions regarding U.S.D.A. operations requirements concerning menus and meal applications.
Answer a variety of questions from various sources including governmental agencies industrial companies parents
and local school staff. Prepare monthly reimbursement claims to the State Department for Federal Reimbursement.
Organize and maintain all supply cabinets.
Provide the procurement clerk with a list of out-of-stock items.
Assign input and do follow-up work on purchase orders.
Verify packing lists and invoices and approve the same for payment.
Perform annual districtwide verification of free and reduced meal applications for state department regulations.
Assist with processing civil rights reviews.
Prepare agendas and retain records of managers meetings.
Maintain personnel and teacher handbooks and operational departmental manuals.
Attend meetings workshops and in-service training as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Twelve-month position beginning salary Level 33 employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
