Job Summary

What you will be doing 
Over the course of 12 months you will work on different assignments where you will assist Senior Engineers or Technical Superintendents while taking responsibility for the tasks at hand and meeting your deadlines. You will be expected to increase your knowledge and skills through active engagement with your colleagues and managers in various stages of diverse projects. Together we will shape the direction your career could take paying attention to the areas in which you want to develop your skills and knowledge within the scope of your assignments.  

You will together with your colleagues supervise and manage project work ensuring high-quality on-time delivery and you will be dealing with a range of vessels and other equipment from our huge fleet. 

Where you will work 
In the Global Fleet Track you work on the central technical management of our global fleet. This ranges from improving vessel performance to major vessel conversions or even new build projects.

You will be involved in:

  • Fleet-wide maintenance programs and project planning.
  • Standardizing technical processes.
  • Developing specialized technical knowledge (e.g. engines systems classification).
  • Supporting local project teams worldwide.

Your qualities  
Within Boskalis we are looking for enthusiastic colleagues who are eager to work in a technical environment. 
This track is a great fit for you if you are analytically strong hold a BSc or MSc degree in Naval Architecture or Electrical & Instrumentation and enjoy working systematically while building broad technical expertise.

  • Fully completed a secondary vocational level BSc or MSc.
  • Maximum 2 years of work experience.
  • Entitled to work and already living in the Netherlands
  • Good command of spoken and written English. 
  • Willingness to work abroad.  

Qualifications :

What you will be learning during this development track
Next to learning on the job we offer an extensive personalized development program. Specific training in your areas of expertise will be added to the development track (examples: heavy lift modules; fluid mechanics and pumping technology; and much more). External trainers and coaches and a Boskalis mentor are there to help you in your this track you will build a strong (inter)national network in a short period of time.
