Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Work Schedule: Night Shift 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
Location: Travelers Rest SC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with Critical Care experience to work in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU setting. The ideal candidate will provide care to medically complex patients requiring extended hospitalization and specialized treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in an LTAC ICU environment
- Manage ventilated patients and support vent weaning
- Perform wound care and manage patients with tracheostomy and PEG tubes
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments using electronic systems
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float to other units as required based on patient care needs
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Experience in ICU CCU or LTAC setting preferred
- Strong critical care and patient management skills
- Experience with EPIC EMR (minimum 1 year required)
- Familiarity with medication administration systems (e.g. Omnicell)
Certifications:
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
