• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming positive first impression
• Seat guests efficiently taking into account table rotation guest needs and server balance
• Provide menus and inform guests of current promotions or specials
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas providing accurate wait times when appropriate
• Communicate guest needs and requests clearly to servers bussers and management to ensure seamless service
• Operate the POS system for takeout orders or payment processing as needed
• Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating a smooth enjoyable experience for every visit
• Complete opening side work and closing duties to ensure restaurant is fully prepared for service
• Maintain all safety sanitation and cleanliness standards in accordance with Health Department and restaurant guidelines

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applicants under 18 may be required to provide a valid school work permit
• Must have or be able to obtain ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification
• 1-2 years previous restaurant hosting experience
• Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Friendly approachable and professional demeanor
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and effective verbal communication with guests and team members
• Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest
