Senior Platform/Product Engineer

Position Overview

Were seeking a passionate Senior Platform/Product Engineer dedicated to elevating

developer experiences and empowering engineering teams across Sun Life.

Must-Have Skills

Core Technical Expertise

7 years of production-level software development experience

Strong backend development proficiency:

o (required)

o TypeScript (required)

o Java (required)

Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines automation and modern DevOps

patterns

Ability to write clean efficient code and automation across the full software

lifecycle

Design code test debug and document software solutions that meet business

needs

Collaboration & Communication

Strong communication skills to gather requirements from Sun Life communities

and articulate platform vision

Proven ability to partner with domain SMEs (Delivery Teams Software

Engineers Security Cloud/Infrastructure teams)

Problem-solving mindset with a focus on analyzing designing and delivering

powerful features

Nice-to-Have Skills

DevOps & Infrastructure

Full DevOps tooling expertise:

o Git (Bitbucket/GitHub)

o Jenkins

o Ansible

AWS cloud experience

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Security stack familiarity (SonarQube Snyk Checkmarx)

Developer Experience Platforms (highly appealing but not mandatory)
