Security, EHS & Facilities Manager Region North
Job Summary
- Centralized security management for all affiliate businesses through a trained professional (Security Manager).
- Professionalization of the security operations and services at all levels within the organization in alignment with corporate expectations and recognized best practice standards.
- Professional security support will be extended to the affiliates in Venezuela Ecuador and Peru.
- Increased oversight of security personnel programs and expenditures.
- Accountability for developing and implementing new security projects local and corporate policies and incident prevention programs.
- Strengthening of the liaison / relationship between the AbbVie affiliates and security service contractors.
- Adaptation and implementation of a pro-active holistic security culture that will reduce company liability enhance communication and protect the reputation of the company and its employees.
- Development of a comprehensive information-gathering capability that will facilitate perceiving societal political and economic issues threats and trends that could negatively impact AbbVie operations.
- Crisis Management Business Continuity and Risk assessment in response to threats as a preventive measure.
- Pursuit of integrated and smart solutions.
- Promote Security as a strategic business unit and as an investment of doing business in the region.
- Safeguarding of confidential information with the business leaders for implementing security plans and conducting ongoing investigations.
SECURITY:
- Directs and manages the Security EHS and Facilities Programs including personnel budget and other resources for the protection of affiliate operations in Region North focusing on the protection of assets people reputation and information.
- Provides security support to all AbbVie businesses and operations in the countries of responsibility.
- Supports new projects from the security management initiative and the initiatives of Global Security by conducting investigations assessments and evaluations of risks factors for the design and implementation of policies procedures and programs.
- Develops and maintains a Security Master Plan to support the affiliates strategy in the integration of new security technology.
- Coordinates the implementation of new security projects technology compatible with existing resources.
- Ensures proper management and development of a Security EHS and Facilities budget.
- Maintains an excellent relationship with local and/or federal law enforcement agencies security provider companies Global Security and EHS.
- Conducts internal and manages external investigations related to product security and personnel
- screening; supports GPP in their investigative efforts.
- Maintains a robust Incident Management Plan and coordinates meetings for the Incident Management Team at the affiliates under his domain.
- Maintains a database for report of incident and provides Global Security with data of serious incidents through adequate plan development that respond to contingencies in the region.
- Protection of employees during daily duties when determined and/or required.
- Develop and implement Crisis Management Business Continuity and Supply Chain Security plans.
- Coordinates Executive Protection support for regional visits and special events.
- Conducts risk assessments and evaluations for implementing specific action plans.
- Develop and implement policies procedures and programs.
- Provide oversight to all Security Coordinators for the day-to-day security operations at the regional affiliates.
EHS:
- Ensure an effective and comprehensive company wide EHS Management System.
- Have and maintain a written EHS Program that includes a clear endorsement of Abbvies EHS Policy and applicable commercial EHS Management (EHS Policy and Program Strategic Planning Risk Assessment/Self-Assessment Business Integration Training and Awareness Performance Measures) and Technical standards (Dangerous Goods & Hazardous Materials Waste Management Emergency Preparedness Planning Significant EHS Incident Planning) outlining the organizations program elements EHS goals priorities and resources.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental EHS laws and regulations.
- Establish the organizations EHS responsibility structure to ensure plan development implementation and continuous improvement are align with the affiliate EHS strategic plan.
- Evaluate regulatory self-assessments risk assessments assurance reviews and other appropriate sources annually to identify future priorities to be incorporated into the strategic plan.
- Integrate EHS concepts into business/operations planning and decision making.
- Implement the EHS training system that ensures that employees and managers are trained in the relevant EHS responsibilities for their job duties as required by Corporate EHS.
- Report EHS performance.
- In partnership with HR and Finance departments track all Occupational Accidents and report them to Corporate EHS and/or local government agencies accordingly
FACILITIES:
- Effectively manage all facilities service providers (cleaning reception cafeteria deliveries etc) in accordance with the local contract agreements.
- In partnership with PSM and Finance departments conduct a bid process for all facilities related services as determined by corporate policies.
- Provide oversight to all contracted facilities employees for the day-to-day operations at the commercial affiliates within the region.
- Oversee maintenance reductions cost as well as maximize equipment performance or other similar type program designed to efficiently maximize asset performance including but not limited to Risk analysis measuring probability and consequences of failures in a consistent manner as well as support the evaluations of Failure and Root Cause analysis
- KPIs monitoring process.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree (Business Engineering Military or Security) required. Masters degree preferred.
- Fully bilingual Spanish/English (verbal and written skills required)
- 5 years experience as Security Manager and/or in similar positions with an international company
- A minimum of 2 years of combined experience in EHS and Facilities program implementation (preferred).
- Good reasoning ability and sound judgment.
- Private and public legal aspects in the region.
- International Certificate in Security preferred (e.g. CPP CSO).
- Physical Industrial and Electronic Security Systems.
- Investigation evaluation and risk analysis.
- Crisis Management Business Continuity and Executive Protection.
- Supply Chain Security.
- Security and Project Management.
- OSHA/EHS requirements and related government regulations (preferable)
