This position supports the day-to day operations of the Accounting Department. This position may be required to participate in cross training in the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete timely and accurate billing for various service types to multiple payors in accordance with the Department of Health and Human Services.
- Utilize multiple software programs to maintain paperless records as much as possible.
- Prepare adhoc reporting to assist Leadership in growth and decision making.
- Participate in the accounting monthly/yearly close process which includes various tasks including but not limited to: preparing journal entries and ensuring accurate accounting records.
- Ensure proper authorizations are compliant for billing.
- Work with various teams to reduce write-offs.
- Respond to various pay sources on periodic audits of billed services
- Complete HUD Compliance for tenants with HUD subsidies.
- Assist in annual audits and other projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical or Associates degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
- Possess advanced computer and telecommunication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational time management and critical thinking skills.
- An energetic outgoing detail-oriented person who demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Ability to work cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a variety of persons including coordination staff vendors consumers etc.
- Must pass periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks and/or that of previous states of residence
