Position Summary

The Imaging Service Engineer is responsible for the installation maintenance and repair of advanced diagnostic imaging equipment with a focus on MRI and CT modalities. This role requires strong technical expertise problem-solving skills and a commitment to ensuring optimal equipment performance and reliability in a clinical environment.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $95000 $105000 annually
  • Additional: Overtime eligibility

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installation preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on MRI and CT imaging equipment.
  • Diagnose troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions including mechanical electrical and software-related issues.
  • Inspect test adjust and replace defective components to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintain detailed service records including documentation of system issues repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Manage inventory of parts tools and supplies required for service operations.
  • Implement cost-effective solutions and contribute to cost containment initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff vendors and internal teams regarding equipment status and service needs.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies through continuous learning and training.
  • Provide technical support in high-pressure or emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience servicing high-tech diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with MRI and/or CT systems (both preferred).
  • Formal training in MRI and/or CT modalities required.
  • OEM training on GE and/or Siemens systems preferred.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and technical documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education
  • Associates degree in Medical Electronics Electronic Technology Imaging Service Technology or a related field
    OR equivalent military/technical training
Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) and/or Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) preferred but not required
