POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a dedicated Director of Imaging to oversee our comprehensive radiology department. This role is responsible for managing a team that handles approximately 1500 scans monthly across General Radiology MRI Ultrasound CT and Nuclear Medicine. The Director will drive departmental goals ensure quality control and foster a professional growth environment.

DEPARTMENTAL SCOPE

• Monthly Volume: 700 General Radiology 90 MRIs 250 Ultrasounds 375 CTs and 80 Nuclear Med scans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operations Management: Direct and evaluate patient care delivery information technologies and service level determinations to meet quality objectives.

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement departmental goals and standards aligned with administrative and legal requirements.

• Staff Leadership: Manage hiring orientation performance evaluations and continuing education for the imaging team.

• Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor departmental budgets to ensure operations stay within allocated funding.

• Compliance: Coordinate and direct internal and external audits to maintain hospital standards.

• Professional Development: Create an environment that encourages staff growth and ensures the department remains a vital part of the patient care continuum.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelors Degree (Preferred).

• Licensure: Current New Mexico State License in Imaging.

• Registry: ARRT Registry is required.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire (AHA certification must be obtained within 90 days if not current).

• Experience: Proven leadership experience in a hospital or acute care imaging setting.
