LOCATION: Galesburg-Augusta High School
The Summer School Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and academic success of the summer school program. This role ensures a structured supportive learning environment by monitoring student progress attendance behavior and overall engagement. The coordinator works closely with teachers students and families to promote student achievement and program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track studentattendance ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up on absences
- Overseestudent academic progress including reviewing assignments assessments and overall performance
- Support and enforcestudent behavior expectations maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
- Coordinate and implementstudent success interventionsfor those needing additional academic or behavioral support
- Manage and reviewgrading processes ensuring accuracy consistency and timely reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact forparent and guardian communication providing updates on student progress and concerns
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to align instruction expectations and student support strategies
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with school or district policies
- Assist with scheduling program logistics and day-to-day operations as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Effective communication with students staff and families
- Ability to analyze student data and implement targeted support strategies
- Classroom management and student engagement experience
- Proficiency with grading systems and attendance tracking in PowerSchool
- Knowledge of virtual programming
- Summer school experience preferred
HOURS:
Monday-Thursday 9:00-11:00am
June 8-June 26 & July 6-July 24
WAGES: Hourly
