An established and fast-paced organisation is seeking a Business Manager to enhance the effectiveness of the Chief Business Enablement Officer and support the broader Business Enablement function. This role is suited to a proactive detail-oriented and resourceful individual who can drive business processes coordinate strategic initiatives and projects and support execution across multiple functional areas in line with organisational goals and objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting delivery across business operations project execution reporting and continuous improvement initiatives while acting as a central point of coordination across the function.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Support
- Support the Chief Business Enablement Officer across key deliverables from design and planning through to execution and implementation
- Provide coordination and execution support across strategic initiatives and business priorities
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal queries ensuring resolution or redistribution to the appropriate operational level
Business Operational & Process Management
- Support the Business Enablement function across operational areas including but not limited to Technology Security Compliance & Risk Reporting HR and Implementation
- Assist in driving cross-functional delivery across projects operational processes and business priorities
- Support key business activities such as budgeting and cost management learning and development people coordination communication and operational execution
- Help maintain and improve business processes to ensure smooth and effective delivery across the function
Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Support the planning coordination and execution of key projects and strategic initiatives
- Track timelines deliverables dependencies and progress against agreed milestones
- Proactively identify risks issues and delays and escalate where necessary
- Support and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive delivery toward required outcomes
- Communicate with stakeholders and help manage expectations throughout project lifecycles
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and status tracking
Reporting & Administration
- Compile maintain and update reports documentation and administrative records
- Track key metrics and ensure reporting accuracy across business activities
- Provide administrative and coordination support to enable effective operational execution
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Business Enablement function
- Support business analysis process design optimisation automation and change management activities
- Assist with process documentation mapping and analysis to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Commerce Computer Science or a related field
- Project Management certification would be advantageous
- 35 years relevant experience in business management operations management project coordination business support or a similar role
- Experience within a complex or fast-paced professional environment such as BPO Call Centre IT/Tech Financial Services or similar
- Experience supporting a senior leader or contributing to functional delivery across multiple business areas is advantageous
- Exposure to two or more business functions such as Operations Customer Service Automation HR Finance Learning Marketing or Implementation would be beneficial
- Understanding of compliance requirements such as POPIA or GDPR and/or exposure to standards such as ISO or CIS would be advantageous

- Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Planner MS Project Jira Trello or similar
