Job Summary
Position Summary
This position will have the opportunity to work along other Engineers to gain an understanding of the UNC -Chapel Hill electric system. The position could manage small special projects within the engineering group. This position will become familiar with the electric system model and learn how to perform the protection calculations. The position will also work with the Geographic Information System ( GIS ) to properly develop the EDS switching procedures. The position will have the opportunity to learn and use the IBM Maximo work management systems to manage assigned projects write work and produce sketches. This position will have the opportunity to interact with Contractors and/or Designers used on the Electric Distribution System under management direction. This is an entry level electrical engineering position. This position will become familiar with the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System ( SCADA ) system and its alarms working closely with the Operations Engineer.

Monday Friday normal business hours
