Status: Non-Exempt Full Time

Duration: Temporary position ending September 302026

Overview

The Temporary Case Aide helps clients enrolled in Lowell site programming as they progress through case management by assisting with needs including but not limited to identification document verification & collection intake paperwork and assistance with public benefits applications. The position will also be responsible for short- and long-term data tracking and file upkeeping. The purpose of IINEs Community Services is to both prepare refugees and immigrants for self-sufficiency and provide a durable solution for resettlement and case management needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete intake interviews and paperwork for new Community Services clients.
  • Complete Family Self Sufficiency Assessments for clients.
  • Conduct Family Preparedness.
  • Complete intake for all walk-in clients.
  • Support food delivery and food delivery documentation.
  • Manage client waitlists and support data entry in IINEs case management system.
  • Assist Community Services case specialists with their caseloads in creating client folders assisting in enrollment of relevant public benefits and submitting internal and external referrals to programs.
  • Support ensuring all documentation is complete scanned and saved in SharePoint and filed appropriately.
  • Coordinate with Community Services Case Specialists to access financial resources to support client self-sufficiency.
  • Plan and deliver cultural orientation workshops and other workshops as needed.
  • Maintain case notes in accordance with IINE guidelines and funder requirements; contribute to contract reports.
  • Work with the Career Services and Education department to enroll clients in ESOL and Employment Services as well as ensure continued attendance.
  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings and periodic training sessions.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Human Services Counseling or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in data entry and administration.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with immigrant populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software platforms.
  • Excellent organizational verbal written and interpersonal skills.
  • Extremely well organized detail oriented flexible and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in additional languages strongly preferred particularly Haitian Creole Spanish French Ukrainian Arabic Dari or Pashto.
  • Candidate must have dedication to the human rights of refugees immigrants and asylees.

Work Environment Conditions

  • Occasional travel to IINE Offices
  • Occasional travel to client homes and surrounding towns
  • Seldomly night and weekends events and work
  • Exposure to bright overhead office lighting use of office technology such as laptops printers mail machines and other in-office equipment.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting pushing and pulling materials (boxes equipment) of 50 pounds or more.
  • Continuous sitting (or standing) at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Occasional driving to and from IINE offices as needed.
