BDUK is currently responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including E-7 AEW&C P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft C4ISR Services Through-Life Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets Logistic Information Services and Training Services.
About the role:
We are looking for a Senior Programme Manager Aircraft Support to lead a team of project and programme managers in the delivery of E-7 and P-8 aircraft support. This role will have accountability for the timely delivery of aircraft support outputs across MRO Supply Chain and Engineering teams. This is a full-time role based in our Bristol office with some limited opportunity for hybrid working.
Main responsibilities:
Lead the cross-functional programme team in the delivery of aircraft support scope
Adherence to contractual KPIs across MRO and Supply Chain elements of the P-8 & E-7 contract
Delivery of contracted scope in the aircraft support elements of the sustainment contract
Support the mobilisation of the E-7 aircraft sustainment service alongside P-8 ensuring alignment and integration between the two
Identify evaluate and where appropriate deploy integration initiatives to bring together P-8 and E-7 services
Line management of project and programme managers supporting delivery of the above
Build and maintain close working relationships with BDS and BGS teams in support of delivering sustainment scope
Build and maintain close working relationships with critical suppliers working closely with the Supplier Management team
Build and maintain close working relationships with MoD customers DE&S and front-line users leading on this relationship up to OF4 level
Inculcation of the Boeing Values and Behaviours across the programme team leading by example and setting the culture across the team
Candidates must demonstrate and promote Boeings values and behaviors in daily work decisions and interactions.
Basic Qualifications(Skills/ Experience):
10 years experience in project and programme management ideally in the defence aerospace sector
Considerable experience in the leadership of cross-functional teams ideally in a matrix organisation
5 years budget ownership and management experience
Preferred Qualifications(Skills/Experience):
Strategic planning and preparation and the translation of strategy into action
Familiarity with project tools including Microsoft project Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint
Excellent communication skills
