About the team
The Australia and New Zealand Platforms team brings together seasoned sales professionals who win and scale high-growth SaaS platforms across the Australia and New Zealand markets. We sell the Stripe platform solutions to strategic customers helping them unlock new revenue opportunities and make payments a clear commercial advantage for their businesses.
What youll do
As Head of Platforms Sales Australia and New Zealand youll play an instrumental role in fueling growth at Stripe in the region through new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts. Youll lead and coach high-performing sales executives to hit ambitious targets while also taking a hands-on approach to running strategic C-suite conversations and closing large transformative deals. Youll own go-to-market execution for the segment partnering closely with sales leadership marketing product and PMM please spell out to align strategy refine motions and ensure seamless execution from pipeline generation through to renewal and expansion.
Responsibilities
- Recruit develop and lead a team of sales professionals with a particular focus on the Platform segment across Australia and New Zealand
- Develop the long-term vision and strategy for the team and manage day-to-day operations with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
- Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth
- Drive deal strategy and execution including strong pipeline development opportunity and renewal management and forecasting
- Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
- Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships up to C-level
- Inspire motivate and enable personal and career development of team members both to promote career growth and to increase impact for Stripe
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across Sales Product and Connect Sales Ops S&O please spell out Marketing GTM Partnerships and others
- Participate in industry events to help support positive market awareness

Minimum requirements
- 12 years of relevant sales experience 4 years of people management experience
- Experience working with the Australia and New Zealand markets
- Experience consistently forecasting and managing a high-growth business for multiple quarters
- Thrives in settings with a high level of autonomy to create strategy direction and structure
- Ability to hire train and coach a high-performance sales team
- Ability to build executive relationships with customers and ecosystem partners
- Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts and translate them into industry or business-relevant terms
