Job Summary
Responsible for leading and overseeing the Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions while ensuring accuracy compliance and operational efficiency across the accounting team. This role plays a key managerial function supervising staff assigning workloads and driving performance to meet deadlines and service levels.
The position involves endtoend ownership of accounting operations including monthend and yearend close activities account reconciliations financial reporting support and internal control compliance. The Senior Accountant partners closely with Finance leadership to improve processes strengthen controls and support audits and business decisionmaking.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise A/P and A/R teams ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Oversee daily accounting operations including invoicing collections payments and reconciliations.
Lead monthend and yearend close processes in coordination with the broader finance team.
Monitor performance metrics productivity and quality across the accounting function.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies internal controls and applicable standards.
Support financial reporting audits and documentation requests.
Drive process improvements automation and efficiency initiatives.
Provide coaching feedback and development plans for team members.
Act as a point of escalation for complex accounting issues.
Key Requirements
Strong experience in A/P and A/R management
Proven experience leading and managing accounting teams
Solid understanding of accounting principles and control environments
Experience supporting close cycles audits and reporting
Ability to operate in a handson and managerial capacity
