What youll do

As a Category Specialist Maintenance Services & Labour Hire you will manage the full procurement contract lifecycle from onboarding suppliers and running tenders through to negotiation contract execution and ongoing contract management.

Youll work closely with internal stakeholders including Operations Maintenance HR Legal Finance and Procurement leadership as well as a wide range of external service providers and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to leverage global operational requirements for commercial and operational benefit.
• Gather and analyse internal and external data to inform sourcing decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Engage with key internal stakeholders for involvement and/or consultation in the contract management process.
• Coordinate tender preparation and implementation across internal teams.
• Establish contract management processes and stakeholder involvement.
• Be a conduit between Thiess stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and identify opportunities for cost improvements.
• Lead review meetings manage variations administer pricing reviews and oversee dispute processes.

What youll bring

You will be a proactive skilled professional with strong commercial acumen and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. With a background in procurement and contract management you bring confidence in influencing others managing competing priorities and supporting effective decisionmaking across the business.

• Tertiary qualifications in Business Engineering Law Applied Science or a related discipline (preferred).
• Experience in procurement sourcetocontract processes and contract negotiation/management within mining and/or construction.
• Strong analytical communication negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage up when required.
• Effective project management capabilities with working knowledge of JD Edwards are considered an advantage.
