Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Salesforce Business Analyst with experience in the government or public sector. You will partner with stakeholders to gather requirements improve processes and support Salesforce solutions that drive modernization and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements user stories and acceptance criteria from government stakeholders.
- Translate program needs into Salesforce configurations and functional specifications.
- Support the design of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud Service Cloud Experience Cloud or industry-specific government accelerators.
- Conduct gap analysis of existing legacy systems/processes and recommend modernization approaches leveraging Salesforce features.
- Collaborate with administrators developers and architects to deliver enhancements.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) validate solutions and ensure compliance with government standards.
- Provide training and documentation for end-users and program staff.
- Maintain Salesforce data integrity governance audit readiness and reporting quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years as a Business Analyst preferably with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Proven experience with Salesforce implementations in state local or federal government agencies.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model workflows and reporting.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira Azure DevOps).
Preferred
- Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Grants Management or Licensing/Permitting solutions.
- Knowledge of government compliance frameworks (FedRAMP HIPAA IRS 1075 etc.).
- Experience with data migration or AppExchange apps tailored for public sector.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with government program staff.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to evolving government policies and priorities.
