GDOT IT Senior Support Specialist 3

Job Description:

Under broad supervision the selected candidate will provide comprehensive technical support for third-party enterprise systems. This includes troubleshooting end-user issues supporting system implementations and ensuring smooth application performance across the organization. The role may also involve training users and mentoring junior staff.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of relevant education or experience in IT support system/network administration or application development
• Minimum 7 years of experience providing front-end and back-end support for third-party software applications
• 5 years of experience with JavaScript and Groovy scripting
• Strong experience diagnosing and resolving application issues including deployment and configuration
• Hands-on experience with SQL PL/SQL and database development (Oracle and MS SQL)
• Experience writing SQL queries and stored procedures for data analysis
• Familiarity with XML and application integration concepts
• Experience working with Java-based web applications or other programming languages
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Highly Desired Skills:

• 5 years of experience supporting Agile Assets / Trimble Asset Management systems
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL development
• Experience in Agile environments
• Ability to lead tasks independently and mentor junior team members

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide front-end and back-end technical support for third-party enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues including debugging and performance tuning
• Support application deployment configuration and enhancements
• Analyze user requirements and design appropriate software modifications
• Write and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for data analysis and troubleshooting
• Work with scripting languages such as JavaScript and Groovy for automation and customization
• Support and maintain Oracle and MS SQL databases
• Develop and deliver user training for software and systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance
• Participate in Agile environments and support continuous improvement initiatives
