Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow- These patients are transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit; TR Bands as well as EVERYTHING under the MEd/Surg umbrella Basic arrhythmia knowledge. Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred) Pyxis SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract Weekends: Typically every other weekend though perm staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as needed Floating: Yes within the facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Call is rare response time is 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex this is for core staff to manage Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
