Status: Extra Duty Stipend

Contract: TCEA Master Agreement

General Summary:

TheK-5 Content Leader and Elementary Core Content Curriculum Assessment and Instructional Leaders ofEnglish Learner (EL) Team leads and facilitates a continuous cycle of improvement focused on improving student achievement throughout the district. These district leaders report to the Chief Academic Officer-Elementary and Chief Academic Officer-Secondary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Develop understanding and knowledge of the State/District standards in the area ofEnglish Learner (EL) and be able to communicate those standards to stakeholders through district curriculum units.

2) Communicate and create district curricular/instructional initiatives to stakeholders.

3) Outline implement and lead district professional development inEnglish Learner (EL) for teachers across the district outside and/or inside of the school day

4) Analyze data for the district and site buildings involving district leaders.

5) Assist with District School Improvement Plan and School Improvement Plans in regards to the English Learner (EL) program.

6) Examine and recommend assessments curriculum and course/unit adjustments for the district.

7) Other duties as assigned.

1) Minimum of five years of successful teaching and leadership experience
