Job Summary
Workshop Assistant Director/Choreographer for Burlington Educational Summer Theater
Description:
- Assist the Director in choosing music dances and scenes that are appropriate for the students
- Choreograph the songs for the show and teach the movement to the students
- Oversee the dancing and movement aspects
- Collaborate with the Director counselors and other staff members
- Ensure that there is adequate supervision of the students
- Promote an environment based on working as an ensemble taking creative risks and having fun.
- Help produce a 30 minute workshop performance
- For students in grades 1-5
- Production period: July6 - July 17 Monday - Friday 8:30 - 1:30
- Performances on Friday July 10 and 17 1:00
- Planning meetings before and after
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate dance movement
- Ability to teach a large group of kids for 5 hours per day
Location: Burlington High School Burlington MA
Compensation: $1500.00
