Bachelors degree in Business Accounting or related field and four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of all payroll practices and tax laws. Knowledge of customer service procedures and standards. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to work within strict deadlines. Ability to perform basic supervisory functions.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the activities of employees engaged in processing payroll.
- Prepares federal tax state tax and state retirement and optional retirement deposits and files monthly quarterly and annual reports and reconciliations.
- Investigates and responds to inquiries regarding payments wages and deductions. Ensures compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Collaborates with timekeepers to resolve payroll issues.
- Prepares revisions to payroll operations manual. Recommends changes in policies and procedures to improve the payroll process.
- Serves as payroll manager in the absence of the manager.
