Primary Function: To interact with adult learning administrators and practitioners in order to provide support for the technology of adult education/literacy providers.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and conduct ongoing professional development focused on instructional technology digital learning tools and effective integration of technology in adult education classrooms.
- Provide ongoing training on how to use Zoom Teams online education.
- Support the integration of instructional technology into adult education classrooms to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Assist instructors in selecting and implementing digital learning tools aligned with adult learning principles and program goals.
- Assist programs in implementing online blended and HyFlex instructional models.
- Provide technical and instructional support for virtual classrooms and video conferencing platforms.
- Provide technical support for Help Desk tickets hardware and various types of software.
- Provide maintenance repair and remote access support.
- Provide training and technical support for computer-aided instruction software and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Assist instructors with course setup digital content organization and online student engagement tools.
- Analyze the effectiveness of Distance Learning Training using the National Reporting System (NRS) Tables 4C and 5B.
- Analyze the usage of statewide academic software (Burlington English Aztec Essential Education) and correlate it to teacher and program effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Provide and/or coordinate recorded training on LACES 101 and LACES for Teachers the states data management information system.
- Create recorded training sessions of professional development trainings through Camtasia or other platforms.
- Attend and present at state and national conferences on educational technology instructional technology integration and technology resources for adult education.
- Stay informed about emerging educational technologies and best practices for technology integration in adult education.
- Work in collaboration with the Office of Adult Education adult education providers and internal staff.
- Create update and maintain AALRC and related websites.
- Support the development and maintenance of online resources that provide educators with access to instructional materials and professional development resources.
- Assist with maintaining network security protocols and best practices to protect program technology systems and data.
Minimum requirements:
- Degree in education or related field;
- Experience in adult education/literacy or related field;
- Demonstrated ability of excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to participate effectively in work-groups on national and state levels; and
- Ability to incorporate principles of lifelong learning.
- Experience in educational software and training preferred.
Salary: commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(Contracted on a yearly basis contingent upon funding from the Arkansas Department of Commerce Workforce Connection Office of Adult Education and external grants)
