Key Responsibilities
As the Product Specialist you will drive product awareness support sales growth and deliver hands-on expertise through demonstrations training and customer engagement.
Product Demonstration & Training
Lead live demonstrations of Hydro Vac equipment showcasing features performance and real-world applications to customers and dealers.
Train dealers and sales teams on effective demonstration techniques to ensure consistent and impactful product presentations.
Sales Support & Dealer Development
Partner with territory managers and dealers to support qualified sales opportunities and help achieve revenue targets.
Build strong professional relationships with key customers and dealer partners to expand market presence and drive long-term growth.
Product Feedback & Continuous Improvement
Provide detailed feedback to Sales Service and Engineering teams on product performance usability and documentation improvements.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify product issues and contribute to ongoing enhancements and innovation.
Content Development & Documentation
Support the creation of training materials including video operating instructions for rental partners and end users.
Capture and share high-quality video and photo content from demonstrations training sessions and product applications.
Competitive Analysis & Market Insights
Evaluate competitive products and provide insights on performance and operational differences to support sales strategies.
Work with leadership to refine product messaging including walk-around materials and positioning in the marketplace.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role candidates should demonstrate:
Education & Experience:
Post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
Experience with truck-mounted vacuum products is strongly preferred.
Background in construction machinery sales service or a related industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Ability to provide technical feedback to engineering teams to support product development.
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required.
Key Competencies:
Strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative approach to customer engagement.
Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to manage extensive travel across North America.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across sales service and engineering teams.
