Job Summary
NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Cemetery Caretaker Foreman to lead our maintenance teams at Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach FL. We take pride in maintaining our grounds with attention to detail and tradition ensuring every familys unique experience is honored. As integral parts of our community our maintenance workers have a strong sense of ownership in our grounds and locations reflecting the highest standards of quality and comfort in this stable role.
Responsibilities
- Lead cemetery caretaker staff: cut grass maintain the lawn trim around trees walkways and memorial markers and lay sod.
- Prepare grave sites for interments
- Prepare crypts and niches for entombment/inurnments
- Assist Memorial Team in placing grave markers bronze memorials and crypt faces as needed
- Operate equipment in a safe and careful manner
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in heavy equipment operations (Backhoes tractors UTVs)
- Ability to work weekends as needed
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs
- 2 years of experience in grounds keeping or maintenance
- Capable of understanding maps for grave locations and layouts
- Comfortability with heights
- Professional leadership skills
- Valid drivers license
