Job Summary
Position Summary
Thompson Holdings Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Contracts Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of contracts across the organization. This role is responsible for reviewing redlining negotiating and administering a wide variety of agreements while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and legal counsel to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and redline contracts including vendor agreements client contracts NDAs service agreements and amendments
- Ensure contracts comply with company policies legal requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal procurement finance and operations) to align contract terms with business objectives
- Work closely with legal counsel to escalate complex legal issues and support negotiations
- Track contract status maintain contract databases and ensure proper documentation and version control
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks; propose alternative language where necessary
- Support contract negotiations with external parties balancing legal protection with business needs
- Monitor contract performance obligations renewals and key deadlines
- Assist in developing and improving contract templates processes and workflows
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on contract policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Legal Studies or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in contract management contract administration or a related role
- Strong understanding of contract terminology legal concepts and risk assessment
- Experience with contract review and redlining tools (e.g. Microsoft Word track changes contract lifecycle management systems)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with legal and business teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training
- Experience in industry relevant to Thompson Holdings Inc.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements
