Job Title: Meter Administrative Assistant
Location: Concord MA 01742
Duration: 12 Month Contract (1-2 Years)
Position Summary
The Meter Administrative Assistant will support a large-scale water meter replacement program by managing customer scheduling service order processing and administrative coordination. This role ensures high-volume workflow accuracy prevents project delays and supports timely program execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary customer contact for residential and commercial accounts during meter replacement campaign.
- Schedule and coordinate high-volume meter replacement appointments to meet program deadlines.
- Create process and manage service orders in NISC billing system for meter exchanges and service line replacements.
- Track service order status and ensure accurate database updates.
- Coordinate daily schedules with field technicians and operations staff.
- Manage administrative workflows for temporary meters seasonal accounts and service terminations.
- Document and resolve customer access issues to maintain project timelines.
- Perform accurate data entry into municipal and billing software systems.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical records for compliance and reporting.
- Draft customer communications and business correspondence.
- Compile installation data and generate reports on completion metrics.
- Support cross-functional collaboration while managing independent tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Office Administration or Business training preferred.
- 2-3 years of administrative clerical or municipal office experience.
- Experience with NISC billing system or similar utility/municipal software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
- Experience in high-volume data entry and document control.
- Excellent scheduling calendar management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
