Position Summary:
The Summer Business Partnerships Intern is a key member of the Corporate Engagement/Business Partnerships team and will support the administration and coordination of ongoing corporate fundraising and engagement programs. This position will support collaboratively across the organization as we work to garner investment in the organizations mission from key stakeholders donors and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Work within the Business Partnerships team to strengthenFood Bankscorporate network and engagement through researchadministrativesupportand creative Food Bank and support in-person corporate engagement programsacross the city through hands-onvolunteer facilitation.
Research & Administration
Pitch potential corporate donor prospects
Research corporate leads using online sponsorship platform
Create a categorized list of new companies for engagement*
Research engagement opportunities for new volunteer engagement center
Update company records in NXT
Daily upkeep of corporate partner inbox including coordinationwith volunteer engagement member services and fundraising operations
Development of a lead tracking systemidentifyingnew and lapsed leads*
Volunteer Event Support
Support new In-Office Corporate volunteer opportunity helping coordinate internally with creative and operational teams*
Staffin-person pop-up food distributions with major corporate donors in Brooklyn Queens and the Bronx
Collaborate with Volunteer Engagement team for corporate volunteer initiatives at Food Bank locations including the West Harlem Community Kitchen & Pantry and Hunts Point Warehouse & Distribution Center.
Professional Development
Attend a variety of in-person Food Bank programs for general organizational knowledgeincluding but not limited to: Volunteer Opportunities Mobile Pantries Mission Engagement Tours and Donor Stewardship events
Participate in informational interviews with a diverse group of Food Bank leaders to gain knowledge of food bank operations and the nonprofit industry
Participate in weekly Business Partnership team meetings
Skills:
