IT Support Specialist (Secret Cleared)

Job Summary
Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist with experience supporting PC operating systems (including legacy systems such as DOS and modern Windows environments) as well as a solid understanding of networking and email standards. This role will provide technical support to end users troubleshoot hardware and software issues and ensure reliable system and network performance across the organization.
Active Secret clearance or higher is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops laptops and peripheral devices
- Install configure and maintain PC operating systems including legacy environments (DOS) and current Windows platforms
- Diagnose and resolve hardware software and system issues in a timely manner
- Support basic networking functions including IP configuration connectivity troubleshooting and network device support
- Configure and troubleshoot email systems using standard protocols (SMTP IMAP POP3)
- Set up and manage user accounts permissions and access controls (Active Directory or similar)
- Maintain and deploy system images patches and updates
- Document technical issues solutions and procedures in a ticketing system
- Assist with system backups data recovery and endpoint security measures
- Collaborate with senior IT staff and vendors to resolve escalated issues
- Provide end-user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices
