Job Summary

SUMMARY

Contributes to the acceleration of our striving readers. Worksextensively with students to help improve specific reading skills. Consults frequently with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses reading strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials in order promote interest in reading.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8 with Reading Endorsement K-8 or K-12
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS

Effective:2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Location: Miller Elementary School- Valencia & Camino De La Tierra Area

FTE:1.0 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
