Department Overview
TD Securities Global Asset Servicing (GAS) provides critical infrastructure services that support and/or control the trading investment and corporate banking functions of TD Securities.
The GAS team partners with the front office and other groups globally to manage risk and deliver world class service to our global client base. The team provide operational support and control across the trade lifecycle. The team is heavily involved in new product initiatives and process improvements support the growing needs of the business.
Role Overview
The TD APAC Synthetic Prime Brokerage business enables Prime Brokerage clients to access Asia equity exposure via swap-based solutions. Delivered in partnership with TDs global capabilities the offering covers key Emerging and Developed Asia markets including Taiwan South Korea China (Stock Connect) India Hong Kong Japan Australia Singapore and New Zealand. This role supports the APAC rollout across new markets and operating processes leveraging an established infrastructure and support model.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain asset servicing events in proprietary systems.
- Perform daily processing and reconciliation of corporate action events.
- Identify escalate and resolve corporate action issues working to critical deadlines.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to validate and process events across Stock Loan Cash Equity and Swap positions including claims and associated cash flows.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment leveraging subject matter expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Partner with Technology to develop implement and refine systems and processes.
- Provide feedback on custodian and vendor performance escalating service issues where required.
- Support the direct manager in overseeing daily deliverables and managing critical tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support regulatory compliance and audit requirements.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives in support of STP (Straight Through Processing).
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in Asset Servicing / Corporate Actions.
- Familiarity with equity products including cash equity securities lending and equity swaps
- Knowledge of APAC clearing systems and settlements
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work confidently with clients and internal partners.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven high-volume environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and urgency.
- Strong Excel proficiency (e.g. VLOOKUP pivots macros).
- Demonstrated risk and control mindset with a high standard for operational excellence.
- Broadridge Gloss experience preferred.
