Job Summary

The Head of Investment Management is responsible for defining and executing the organizations investment strategy to achieve superior riskadjusted returns. The role provides strategic leadership across the full investment lifecycle origination evaluation execution monitoring and exit while ensuring strong governance value creation and optimal portfolio performance. The position will also lead coinvestment initiatives and special purpose vehicles to drive sustainable shareholder value.

Responsibilities

Design implement and continuously enhance a comprehensive investment management framework covering origination due diligence approval monitoring and divestment.
Establish clear investment governance structures and decisionmaking processes.
Ensure all investment activities align with the organizations strategic goals capital allocation priorities and targeted riskreturn profile.
Lead investment committee preparations including investment memoranda and recommendations.
Develop and implement portfolio performance management frameworks including financial and nonfinancial KPIs.
Conduct quarterly portfolio performance reviews providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
Monitor assetlevel and portfoliolevel performance against benchmarks and strategic targets.
Provide analytical support for portfolio rebalancing exits and capital redeployment decisions.
Lead and manage coinvestment initiatives including SPVs and SPACrelated transactions.
Oversee project structuring execution and performance monitoring to ensure alignment with stakeholder interests.
Coordinate crossfunctionally with Legal Finance Risk and Operations to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
Manage relationships with coinvestors partners and external advisors.
Identify assess and mitigate investment risks across the portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal investment policies regulatory requirements and bestpractice governance standards.
Drive transparency through accurate reporting and performance tracking.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance Business Economics or a related field.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CFA CPA ACA or equivalent are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in investment management private equity asset management or portfolio management.
Proven track record in investment origination execution portfolio management and exits.
Experience managing coinvestment structures SPVs or complex investment vehicles is a strong advantage.

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of financial services investment products and market dynamics. Excellent verbal written and presentation skills to effectively engage clients and stakeholders. Ability to influence decision-making negotiate favorable terms and close deals. Strong research and problem-solving skills with ability to analyze market data and business trends. Proven ability to build long-term partnerships and client networks. Self-driven proactive and able to deliver against set targets. Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Economics or a related field. Masters degree or relevant professional certification (CIM CFA etc.) is an added advantage. 35 years proven experience in business development sales or client relationship management within the financial services investment or consulting industry.
