The Headhunter Group is currently looking for a Business Controller for a leading global provider of certified safety training for offshore personnel within the wind maritime and oil & gas industries.

Over the past decade the organization has grown from a single training center near a major European airport into a truly international company with multiple locations across Europe the United States and the Middle East. Backed by a prominent private equity investor the company is entering its next phase of accelerated growth with new training centers planned across Asia South America and Europe.

The organization employs approximately 180 FTE and continues to scale rapidly offering a dynamic international and high-performance environment.

The Role

As Business Controller you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making profitability and operational performance across the organization.

You operate at the intersection of finance and the business working closely with senior leadership. While positioned within finance this is a highly business-facing role with a clear mandate to drive change across departments and geographies.

Given the organizations rapid growth and relatively young structure many processes are still evolving. This role offers a unique opportunity to introduce structure build scalable processes and translate analysis into tangible business impact.

Success in this role is defined not only by analysis but by execution: implementing decisions driving adoption across teams and ensuring measurable improvements in performance.

Key Responsibilities

• As Business Controller Performance & Execution your responsibilities include:
• Conduct detailed margin & profitability analyses and drive implementation of improvements
• Improve forecasting accuracy and long-term planning
• Analyze and optimize service offerings scheduling and pricing strategies
• Contribute to international expansion
• Design and continuously improve dashboards models and analytical tools
• Monitor results and adjust where necessary to ensure sustained impact
• Support decision-making on new programs and monitor post-implementation performance

Organization & Reporting

You will be part of a small dynamic finance team (approx. 5 FTE) supported by international finance teams across multiple regions. The role is highly cross-functional with direct exposure to senior leadership.

You report directly to the CFO.
The position is based in the Amsterdam region.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate brings:
• 2 years of relevant experience in business control financial control or performance management
• Ability to translate data into clear insights decisions and actions
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. Exact or similar
