Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented Summer Intern to join our Robotic Software this role you will create virtual replicas of existing autonomous lift trucks within KION enabling new software developments to be validated in a safe and controlled simulation environment prior to field testing. You will also develop a simulated version of the SICK microScan3 safety laser scanner helping reduce reliance on physical hardware during safety feature validation. This internship offers handson experience in robotics simulation virtual validation and software development while supporting safe efficient and scalable autonomous vehicle development.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X - $Y at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location education experience knowledge and skills.

What You Will Do in this Role:

Create virtual replicas of existing autonomous lift trucks within KION so that new software developments can be validated in a safe and controlled virtual space prior field testing

Create a simulated version of the SICK microScan3 safety laser scanner.
The simulation is meant to decrease the need of physical microScan3 devices when doing validation of safety features
