Job Summary

Are you experienced within the consultancy industry and passionate about workforce planning At COWI we are looking for a talented Resource Manager to help drive excellence in our engineering disciplines within Heavy Civil working with infrastructure projects in Denmark and around the World.

Be a key player in COWIs resource allocation
You will join an international team collaborating closely with our engineering professionals and leadership. Your primary role will be to ensure the best possible match between our skilled professionals and the diverse projects that define our industry within our business unit Heavy Civil. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration has an outward-facing approach a strategic mindset proficient data handling abilities and aims to optimize resource management practices in engineering.

You will join a network of skilled Resource Managers across COWI working together to ensure a seamless and holistic staffing approach across our business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provideongoingsupport toourHeads of Engineeringcoordinatingstaffingrequestsfrom bids and projects aiming to balance project needs individual workloads and high resource utilization in collaborationwith Heads ofDisciplines themarketorganizationand Project Managers
  • FacilitatecoordinationwithotherResource Managers and colleagues on a global level to optimize resourceutilizationacrossDisciplinesand EngineeringareasinHeavy Civil and other Executing Units and havegoodunderstandingof thework inrelation to multidisciplinaryteams and cross-disciplinary projects
  • Reportweeklyon short-to-mid-termcapacitylevelsinthe Disciplines aswellas potential specific gaps incapabilities withresponsibilityforkeepingaccurateand up-to-date data on resource supplyand demand

Toeffectivelyfulfillthisrole youwill:

  • Thrive in an outward-facing position with a broad stakeholder landscape and are comfortable engaging collaboratively across all levels
  • Need the ability to manage and maintain an overview of multiple ongoing activities and projects in a structured manner
  • Have the ability to maintain constructive and continuous dialogue with key stakeholders including Project Managers Heads of Disciplines and Market Directors
  • Navigate calmly in an environment where plans may change quickly and adapt to shifting circumstances with an understanding and considerate approach toward all impacted parties
  • Have a proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and Danish with a focus on clarity and conciseness
  • Have experience with workforce planning from the consultancy industry combined with an understanding of how a project-based company operates (COWI uses Power BIs Maconomy Orbit and Sharepoint to coordinate resources)
  • Pay attention to detail and ensuring high data quality in staffing and planning processes; hence a data driven approach and understanding
