Rate of Pay: 27.00 - 35.68 per hour
Summary:
To undertake high-quality assessments for kinship carers and prospective Special Guardians supporting children to remain within their family networks wherever safe and appropriate. The role focuses on completing Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship Orders (SGO) ensuring informed decision-making and the best outcomes for children.
Responsibilities:
- Complete Connected Person Assessments and Special Guardianship (SGO) assessments including conversion assessments
- Assess suitability of kinship carers and existing foster carers
- Provide clear guidance on the differences and benefits of Kinship Fostering vs Special Guardianship
- Undertake comprehensive risk and needs assessments in line with statutory requirements
- Work closely with children families and multi-agency professionals
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
- Registration with Social Work England
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in fostering kinship care or childrens social care
- Strong experience completing assessments and reports
- Knowledge of Special Guardianship Orders and fostering regulations
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Excellent communication and analytical skills

- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires a Basic DBS
