Sr Business Intelligence Engineer

Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Intelligence this role you will design build and optimize scalable data models and analytical assets that power reporting and self-service analytics across the organization. You will play a key role in strengthening our BI ecosystem by partnering closely with data platforms and product teams to deliver high-quality governed and performant datasets and dashboards while upholding best practices and standards..

What youll do:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional requirements.
• Design develop and maintain BI reports dashboards and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI etc.).
• Build and optimize Tableau dashboards and KPI frameworks with a focus on performance usability governance and row-level security.
• Ensure data consistency and quality in reports by working closely with the data management team.
• Apply best practices in dbt modeling testing version control and release management to ensure high-quality maintainable pipelines.
• Perform data analysis and ad-hoc queries to support business decision-making.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging BI technologies.

What youll need:

Must-haves

• 6 years of professional experience in business intelligence analytics engineering or data engineering preferably in healthcare or another data-rich regulated domain.
• Self-starter able to work independently able to succeed in a fast-paced high intensity start-up environment
• Excellent english communication skills with proven ability to create & deliver the results of analyses to non-technical audiences
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong hands-on experience with analytics engineering frameworks such as dbt.
• Strong experience with Tableau (Cloud and Desktop) including dashboard development row-level security performance optimization and basic administration.
• Experience working with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Experience working in AWS-based data platforms.

• Experience with dbt or with similar tools

• Exposure to additional BI platforms such as Power BI Sisense or open-source BI tools.
• Experience supporting dashboard embedding and integration into web applications.
• Background in healthcare payer analytics utilization management or clinical workflows.
• Previous experience working in a global model
