Associate QA Manager, Middle and Back Office with a MNC Institutional Brokerage & Investment Services

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Contribute to functional testing of all calypso releases and also ensure that the regression test cases are kept updated regularly.

• Perform functional test of Calypso for patches and new functions and document test cases

• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders regarding team progress ensuring transparency and alignment with project timelines.

• Provide leadership and direction to the QA team fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Mentor and guide QA team members promoting their professional growth and skills enhancement.

• Effectively manage all team activities by assessing and allocating tasks among team members ensuring the timely completion of feature testing to deliver high-quality software.

• Understand the business requirement by collaborating closely with business stakeholders and suggest test plan and delivery time lines.

• Collaborate closely with development teams business analysts Project Managers and other business stakeholders to ensure that the test strategy and coverage aligns with the functional specifications.

• Work closely with the development lead in release planning and preparation including release documentation change request creation and all other change management processes.

• Provide assistance to investigate and resolve issues escalated by the production support team related to Calypso configuration or functions.

• Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency enhancements and take ownership of initiatives aimed at driving improvements and automating processes.

• Other tasks related to projects as directed by the manager

Requirements

• Computer Science or equivalent degree

• 5 to 10 years of comprehensive experience in software testing including a minimum of 2 years in a test lead capacity.

• Strong hands-on experience with Fixed Income or Equity Derivative products complemented by a thorough understanding of the trade life cycle for these instruments.

• Demonstrated knowledge of testing methodologies and tools with hands-on expertise in testing practices.

• Understanding of front-to-back office business processes

• Good hands-on experience in SQL queries and proficiency in data testing.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Working knowledge of QA best practices.

• Very strong attention to details can work independently

• Good communication skills in English
