Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) is a multi-asset class investment group that operates within the Asset Management Division at Goldman Sachs. It designs and develops comprehensive investment management solutions customized to meet the investment objectives and relevant constraints of clients. These solutions bring together state-of-the-art techniques for multi-asset and liability-hedging portfolio design and implementation and reflect proprietary research and analytics conducted by the MAS team. With investment professionals across the globe MAS invests or advises on assets for some of the worlds leading corporations sovereign wealth funds pension plans governments financial institutions endowments foundations and family offices.

This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge investment technology solutions that directly influence major institutional portfolios providing unparalleled exposure to both advanced engineering practices and global financial markets.

Responsibilities

• This role involves partnering with the MAS investment group and an energetic engineering team to build a portfolio construction and implementation platform that supports order generation across multiple asset classes.
• Modernize the data platform supporting the investment process.
• Collaborate with MAS investment professionals to design build test and enhance software features throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop new platform functionality from the ground up aligning with firm principles and leveraging your creativity and technical expertise.
• Work closely with stakeholders to iterate on designs and refine products for maximum commercial impact.
• Integrate new tools and workflows into existing systems in partnership with other teams.
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end applying sound design and development practices.
• Engage in a collaborative customer-centric team environment focused on delivering impactful solutions.

Skills & Experience

• 3 years of hands-on development experience ( Java or full-stack) with exposure to the complete software development lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms and design patterns.
• Knowledge of Python experience developing agentic workflows and familiarity with other emerging technologies are a plus.
• Experience with modern deployment practices(Containerization: Docker; Orchestration: Kubernetes) and DevOps practices is a plus.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React and familiarity with HTML5 and CSS.
• Relational database experience (e.g. Sybase SingleStore) and/or NoSQL database experience (e.g. MongoDB).
• Ability to maintain commercial focus and drive for quantifiable business impact.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic ownership and a sense of urgency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with subject matter experts.
